is it possible to measure a prop with a measuretape or how should it be done?

We are talking dia. right? Measure from end of blade to center of hub. Multiply by 2 = dia.

thats a tuff one...i guess u need a laser ( special tool ) to do so ....?????

Utilizing a: Pitchometer, Pitch blocks, Prop Scan or MRI typically.

You can measure diameter via tape with 4 blades since you can go from one tip to the other. Multiple blades require other tools.
Pitch is interesting because you have various points of measure that must be averaged. Rake is another story and you must have the special computer stuff we use. However, I used to do it with a protractor.

We have the pitch blocks, mechanical tools, HALE HRI, and all the other stuff needed to let you know what you have in posesion.

Typically all props are marked , if you look in the center of the hub, in many cased it will be stamped on the inside of the propella just under the nut and locking washer.
Also the side of the prop is stamped with 1/8 " tall letters, often painted over and the paint fills in the indents on the propella. Take a hard look at it with a magnifying glass.
What do you want to do with the propeller? Do you want it reconditioned? Are your RPM's too high? You could send it out for reconditioning but you need to figure out where you want to go, less RPM's more RPM's ect .
