Default Waterproofing Cockpit Cover

The cover for the cockpit of my boat is in great condition, but it's not waterproof. The material is a soft synthetic knit fabric. Neither side seems to be coated. Any ideas on how to make it waterproof (again)?

I use "Starbright Waterproffing and Fabric Treatment", can get it a West Marine. Spray it on to thoroughly wet the canvas. Works well and lasts about a season before needing a new treatment.

"Aquatite", it is a silicone base material, works great.

I use this stuff, I think it's called "Igloo". Comes in a white bottle with purple writing. My wife got it at a fabric store. Anyway you put your cockpit cover in the washing machine with a full water level. Pour this stuff in, let it agitate, then let it sit for 10 minutes, then let it finish the cycle. Mine still beads water after 14 months.
