hey guys i have a 272 baja 1997 model, im looking for a place i can order the owners manual and other manuals.. my switchs are faded off and dont know what some of them are, and dont know which engine i have and hp rating etc.. anybody know a place that sells this stuff? thanks guys

There wasn't manuals available in 1997 I believe they first started offering it in 2005

There are 1997 brochure available on ebay.

those on ebay do not have any technical stuff in them they are only the brochures that were in the dealerships to look at the different models for that year

The manuals wouldn't be that specific anyway (switch manufactures, etc). How can you not know which engine it has? It'll say right on the top unless someone built it in their garage. Once you know what you have, we can help with how much oil, filter types, stuff like that.

Switches that boat should include court lights, engine hatch (up/down), cabin lights, bildge pump, stereo, blower, NAV/anchor lights, engine lights, horn. Options include docking lights, silent choice, depth finder often marked by "ACC". You can just try them and label them yourself or new ones are easily found on EBay or places like www.greatlakesskipper.com.

Forgot about trim and tab switches (should be seperate from the others above).

i know its a 454 mercrusier, with a bravo 3 outdrive.. but i wanted the hp rating cause i think there is a couple different hp ratings in the 454s? who do you order factory parts from for this boat> is there sumbody out there that deals directly with baja?

engine parts you can get anywhere they are not specific to just baja look on the side of the engine by the starter on the bellhousing mount there will be a little metal tag with a serial number post that on here and someone can tell you what the hp rating is most likely it is 310 hp if it is just a 454
