Default Looking to buy 1994 Baja 272... year of boat make a big difference?

Looking to make a boat purchase relatively soon, ran across this one on ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1994-...item27b4b50a27

Seems like the only thing that's still as it came off of the factory are the engine/drive combo.

Would the year make it that much more difficult for me to resell in a 5 years or so if/when I decide to upgrade?

The guy is firm right at $20k and will not move on the price. It's within my budget, but the year is the only thing worrying me a little.

Would the drive be on its last leg? Engine needing an overhaul in the next year or so?

Should I fork up a little more, around $25k and get into something newer?

Thanks.

LOL,,,80 k new my azz !!!!

My 97 new on an Eagle trailer wasnt near 80 k

Look for something a lil newer with the updated dash if you can find one.

Also I was told they were built better at the dash switch when Brunswick took over.

340 hours is nothing for that motor if it was taken care of

Last,,,, jack it off the trailer and look for blisters under the bunks

That NEW interior is what you get when someone doesn't have a clue how to redo a Baja interior. The motorlid, and rear seat look like crap. The bolsters are still original.

Default This is a buyers market

You can find something newer, less headache and will be easier to sell. Unfortunately, there are alot of people who need to sell. Best of luck

Not sure where your at but this one has been listed a bunch of times on craigslist for 25k, . Its a 96. I would offer him 20k just to see how much he will move. I have no connection to this.

The only thing I have to add is the boat will not do 70 MPH. Maybe 65 GPS on a good day.

As Jeff said
My buddy had a 96 or 97(I forgot) but it would only top out at a true 60.
