Question GIL Stealth Exhaust

My boat is equiped with GIL stealth silent choice exhaust. I ran the boat for the first time after sitting all winter. During the ride the exhaust would autimatically divert through the prop instead of through hull. The solution was to hit the reset button. The exhaust would work for a little while but then trip the breaker again.
I contacted GIL and the company is now owned by Corsa, they were not very helpful. They said I would have to convert the exhaust system over to Corsa. There must be an easier solution.
Any ideas???
