Default Bilge/Engine Heater

Been considering not winterizing my boat and instead installing a heater.

Any recommendations or warnings, good or bad?

I really am more of a do-it-yourselfer, and I hate paying to have the boat winterized and dewinterized.

I would be doing this on a Formula 400ss

I keep coming across "boat safe" brand of heaters.

Thanks in advance!

I would never use one in lieu of winterizing. IMO, they are to extend somebody's boating season.

Unless you have climate controlled indoor storage with a back up in case the power goes out, I would never not winterize.

If you are a do it yourselfer, then learn to winterize the boat yourself. Its not that hard.
