Duration is to big unless you have dry exhaust and plan on spinning it 6500 rpms. And have money to keep replacing the Alpha outdrive everyweekend.

+1 too much duration,,if your looking for off the shelf cam for a 454 my customers and i have been vary happy with the isky 270/280 mega hyd cam..you can use it with stock manifolds and has a nice loppe idle but not to bad,,has real good midrange acceleration..

Way too big of a cam for a 454. Better choice is a Crane 134241.

You need to have upgraded exhaust to run a bigger cam or you will get reversion.

i dont know the exact hp but in a 23' checkmate the boat ran 76 on the gps @ 5200 rpm's..same cam in a hallett with port work to the heads but through a volvo drive the boat picked up 4 mph,,in a 23'? mach one the boat went from 62 mph to 67 mph..it all depends on your set up in the engine..it has a nice idle and a snappy throttle response and pulls hard in every motor i put it in..

You can make 420hp with the cam I posted. Mill the heads .030, Holley 800 carb, Air gap intake and aftermarket exhaust.
I gave these specs to somebody a while ago and they dyno'd it at 425HP at 5000rpms. I used to spin mine to 5400rpms so it was probably closer to 435hp.
The cam is very close to the Merc 454/420hp specs.

You won't have clearance issues with those cam specs.
