Default MSD Box ?'s Anyone running a Digital-6???

My girlfriend wants my X-mas list. So im trying to figure out if this would be any good.
Anyone running a MSD Digital-6? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-6520/
I know there is the marine boxes but I was reading about this and its potted in urethane to resist water & vibration.
Has rev limiters and start retard built in.
I plan on running it with the stock merc Distributor.
Thanks

if you are running a merc dist, assuming it's not locked it would be a waste of $$ not going to gain anything..my.02

Remember, what ever she buys you for X-MAS, you have to spend twice as much. Ask for some cool cub holders.

I know some people say it will help and others say its a waste. I would like the start up retard though, since mine is hard to start when hot.

I can't believe they can't make these any better.

I do like the LED cup holders that are out there.

I don't know. The best thing I ever did was dump the Merc system and add a ProComp box and distributor. Motor started easier, ran better and I got 200 rpm's top end.

I run the 6520.. with MSD dist locked out at 34.. with MSD crank trigger... MSD starter.. Ford CAP-A-DAPT cap as well.. so far (knock on wood) 4+ seasons no issues.. the start retard is a nice feature on the box.

The MSD boxes can be unreliable. No problems with my marine msd boxes "yet", but i keep them mounted to the transom, maybe thats why they have lasted a while. Boat also stored indoors.
