Come on, I mean it is 10000% obvious that 272bajadriver doesn't know his way around a motor.
And it is also obvious he is excited to have a new motor built for his boat so it is not slower than most bayliners any longer.
I don't know him personally but I still think you guys should cut him a break...make peace.
When I bought my Baja 226 10 yrs ago I knew nothing and if not for this site and a few like it the rough ride I had building motors and such would have been way way worse!!!
I thought we were here to share info, learn, and be excited for the next boating season....
OH, I really really don't like the green paint though......definitely need a new color for the 540

No I did not, I asked stupid questions, in some cases got stupid answers which I guess come with the territory but all in all I have always recieved the help I needed here.
