Default Drive trim not equal??

Once on plane, using the trim button on the throttle my drives don't respond evenly based on the shape and spray in the wake. I have to adjust the individual drives to make them even. 300 Powerquest, 496 Mag HO's. Drive pumps are filled prperly, any ideas??

Default Trim Pumps

I have the same problem and was told it due to different trim pumps coming on at slightly different times causing one drive to trim farther than the other. It is annoying and I was also wondering if it could be corrected in any way. I would replace the pump or pumps if I thought the drives would stay together during trim adjustment

Check your electrical system. If your system is completely isolated one side to the other, you could be running higher voltage on one side. If that's the case, you could either replace, or swap your existing componenets (alternators and trim pumps) around to give the most even response.

You could have a trim pump going bad, or needing new brushes, etc.

Also, give all your electrical connections a fresh torquing. Sometimes corrosion gets into things and 12V sytems are notiorious for not being able to burn it off. I

easy fix try thinner trim oil in slower pump and see if it works faster pump might be getting weak or might just have hevier oil in it to start

Maybe it's because we've always had older boats, but I've never had good luck with getting each drive to lift at exactly the same rate as the other.

Trim cylinders, pressure, air pockets, electrical current (and resistance/power loss through the lines/connections), pumps (and if not multiple pumps then distribution) are all factors that need to be perfect to get everything working at the exact same time. You could have one line going from the switch to the pump longer than the other and cause a problem...

Default Trim pumps not equal?

I also have two 496 Mag HO/Bravo's with low hours(2004 boat) and both pumps seem to be in good shape as well as wiring and electrical connections. I was wondering how many other's have twin set up where both drives adjust slightly different amounts? Is this common?

2004 496/bravo's has always been slightly different,I think with all the variables you would have to be lucky for them to match all the time

Does it list? Years ago on a Baja 302 I had it listed (to port). I started adjusting the drives seprately to correct. It became second nature in no time and just the way I trim now. Gives a flatter ride depending on where weight is distributed on the boat. There's always one fat chick that finds her way on board!
