Default What Video Camera to Buy?

I have seen some of the great videos posted here using a camera on a suction mount and apparently shot with a water proof camera. I want to shoot these at Lake Havasu next month and was looking for advice. I looked in search here, but could not find any, although I know I have read about these in the past. Any help? Dan

I use the Tachyon. Probably gonna upgrade to the HD.
I like that I can use regular batteries, it's cheaper, has a remote, and has a longer recording time. There are pro's and cons to both and it is just personal preference. Now the new Gopro does have the ability to add the viewing screen, which sucks battery power but if you use it just to line up your shot, it seems like a winner as you ensure you have the view you want.

2 links to read.

A review of almost all the helmet cams http://helmetcameracentral.com/
That lists pros and cons of each.

and a discussion here on OSO

and video shot with my tachyon. This was their standard model. I thought it was pretty good but if I was purchasing now, i'd definitely go for the HD.

Camera doesn't determine that. That's determined by your camera mount. I use Suction/ Vacuum Cup Camera Mounts. They'd hold a Gopro or tachyon camera or any other camera for that matter equally well.

Mine hold fine just in the stock sticker.

Check on the snout after 180 miles offshore to Key West averaging about 105-110...
