I'd run 8.4:1 compression ratio

Hey Kris. Can that be accomplised by opening up the Combustion chambers on the heads?

What Kris said, but ditch the innercooler and run Aluminum heads.
How about some slightly used 557CI Blower motors?

This build isnt for me, but for a buddy. Was kinda one of those idea's of running what he already has, but just adding the blower package more or less.

The original plan is 522CI, Merlin block, brodix aluminums, 871's with chillers. He has the blowers, chillers, merlin blocks, cranks, rods, but the dome pistons need to be changed to lower compression. He still needs to buy the heads, intake manfolds, valvetrain, oil pans, balancers, flywheel, etc.

You gettin rid of your motors??? Whats next???????

Might be easier selling the 42 without power... 400SS or something like that.

It's better to change the pistons.

Gotcha. After talking last night, i think he's gonna continue on with the merlin block/brodix head buildup. just makes more sense.

8.8 comp is a little high,if you go with more cam,you can get away with 8.8 compression.keep the chillers, dont exceed 7 lbs boost, dont go over 32 total timing.youd be much better with a good quality aluminum head, less chance of detonation.hp id say app 775-800.good luck with your build.
