Default steering

HI all i have marine/machine steering on twins the drives are B1s the boat is 2001 the rams are external and has a large dia s/s tiebar conecting the drives on the out side my Q is do i still need the small dia tie bar inside the boat on the steering arms regards paul

I left mine in place when I only had the add on hydro steering. When I went to full hydro I removed the inner tie bar.

If you don't trim the drives at exactly the same time/rate/position having the inner bar puts stress on the gimbal, upper pin & steering arm. We remove it.
