Default Rules for SVL

So what are the rules for SVL? Can I run a drive that I won't have to worry about breaking every race?

OPA and SBI 2011 rules for SVL have been posted on their web sites for a while. If you have any question I'm sure you can call Smitty or John.

If you have the right Driveguy you don't have to worry about breaking drives

The bravo or IMCO is the only legal SVL drive.

I think it's time to alow any drive's you wan't to run. Unless IMCO or Mercury want to throw some money at us. I can't run my good drive guy's drive.

We dont blow up too many drives with the 525s. The gimbal is the weak link and they usually only let go in a spin. We allowed the NXT a couple years back and it held up well in the rough. i dont think any one is planning on spending time or money on a complete re rig at this time.

What V lite are you running? and what drive did you have in mind?

If you plan on running with P1, any drive is allowed. However, we dont know P1s plans for the class at this time. If any.

When you become an equipment owner in that class then it will give you the right to vote on the rules in the said class.

Did you trade the 21 in on an SVL?

The owners of the dozen or so current boats don't really seem to be complaining about the drives a whole lot. Most of them have enough parts to go around and always make sure there competitors do too...

I'm looking for a SVL to run and I'll be keeping the 21. 2 or 3 Bravos are the same price of a number 6 drive or any other drives out there.

As I look back I cant remember the last time someone blew a drive in SVL. If I was to geuss it was Imco in Detroit last year. Its not that common and no one is willing to spend the cash for a #6 and not to mention the prop cost. KISS theroy
