Hey guys we are going to race this year in the Cape Race. We are running a 30ft Superboat Tempes with Twin 2.5efi's on it. The best speed we have ever seen out of it is 84mph with NO fuel and one person. Add a person and you see 80 and add fuel and you are in the mid 70's. Well if we run full and depending on the prop we can have the boat max out at about 69mph and if we run different props we are in the mid to low 70's with all equipment on board and set up the way we would have raced in A-class the last time we had the boat out. What class is going to have more boats? That is the class we want to set the boat up for. We DO NOT want to race against ourselves, it gets boaring!!!!! If anyone has any input please reply.

I would try to run the P4 class if you can. I run my 24 Skater in P2 but I have raced against a 42 Fountain with "OPEN Class" motors in it and a 24 Bat Boat with a Whipple/Pro charger motor in it. Good Luck, see you there, but not with my skater.

Go P4, last year P4 was the fourth largest class. F2, F1 and Supercat were the 1st ,2nd and 3rd.

That is what I thought. I just wanted to make sure this year was the same as last. The owner gave the green light so it looks like it is a go. Hope that there are lots of people in the class so it is more fun.

P4 (70 - 80mph)

Although you can get your boat to run a couple MPH over the 80 mark empty, load the boat up with fuel and prop down a little to stay under 80 (There is a radar gun at many of the races even if you don't see it) If you try to get into P5, you will tick people off and not have a really good race. You should be very competitive in P4 and have fun doing it.
