Default 28' 496 HO owners: weekend fuel bill?

What are you guys spending on a typical Saturday on the lake? I am probably below the curve on use. I will go out, tube for 30 mins to an hour and then hang out in the cove with friends for the rest of the day since Lake Travis gets simply retarded after 2 PM.

What should I expect to burn and what do you burn?

28 with twin carbed 502's.

I have the same type of use..... I can do a weekend on $100-150, probably closer to $150-175 now with the higher gas prices. That should be a max number considering my hull and motors are not as fuel efficient as some of the newer hulls/engines.

My 496HO averaged around 12 GPH. That's a mix of idle, cruise, fast cruise, bursts of WOT.

An average day on the water for me is usually around 2hrs run time.

Same here. @ 12 GPH and an hour or more of run time.

I usuallu burn 25-30 gallons per day with my 28 AT/Merc racing 525. Probably an hour at idle and an hour up and running.

I would use about $300 to $350 a day with twin 496HO mags. But gas was cheaper last summer.
