Eric Colby wrote the article. He said 50-80 was 8.9sec and 60-80 was 8.7. No time to plane but I would guess 4-4.5sec. Top speed was 100.2. 572/700 Hemi built by Ray Barton Engines in Pennsylvania. XR1 w/2" shortie on a 12" Stellings box. 15 1/2x31" P-5 Hydromotive prop.

someone had a fast gps i guess ,we drove around it a few years ago at a Toy for Tots run and we were showing 98 on the gps when we realed him in and went by him, but that was with 2 people in both boats full of gas and a cooler of beer on fresh water. Boat is fast for a NA motor.

Steve drove it at the lake O shoot out and it ran in the 90s.
I seem to remeber I ran it on the lake at 92 while we where building my stagerd boat and the oil cooler kept leeking. and I thought it had a its on the back.

What did that Hemi sound like? I didn't know there was a 572, now on Barton's site they're working on a 641.
