Default Is 212* rating for Fragola Push-Lok hose sufficient for oil cooler line?

I have been planning to use some type of push lock hose to make up my lines to the oil cooler, and I held off on buying some hose from a local supplier because it was only rated for 212* (at 300 psi). I was concerned about this because I could clearly see where engine oil could easily exceed that rating after a hard run. However, when I looked on Summit's site, they list the Fragola push-lok hose with the same rating. I am pretty sure this brand is commonly used for oil lines, and I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with it.

FWIW, I think the stock Merc oil lines are just a reinforced rubber hose - not sure what the temp rating is for them, however.

Can someone suggest a reasonable cost alternative? Not real interested in paying the high cost for stainless braided hose if I can avoid it.

Keep in mind that if the hose dont have USCG approved on it the insurance can deney the claim if somthing were to happen because of those 4 letters..

After seeing a pushloc hose coming off on a friends race car at a race last month and seeing the car get engulfed in flames i dont trust the pushloc hoses anymore..

look on the charts below and you will see the blue uscg hose..

212 is too low.

As a matter of fact, you want your oil to run at least 212 to boil off any condensation that may have accumulated in the oil from sitting.

But besides that, I wouldn't trust those push lock fittings on my fish tank, let alone my engines. I would get the good stuff when it comes to your oil lines.

The push lock hoses are actually NHRA approved for use as fuel lines and also I believe oil lines. There are higher temp hoses available, and a clamp can be added as an extra safety margin. Just checking to see if anyone had come across a good source for the high temp units. That's why I held off on buying the 212* rated one.

I used the Aeroquip fittings and hose, good to 300F & 250Psi. Via Summit, there is not much price different between the two.

So what exact hoses and fittings are you using on the Aeroquip site? They have about a hundred different products listed.

Are you talking about the Fragola Performance products? That is actually the Parker 8600 series blue hose, and it has the same 212* rating. Yes, they do list it for engine oil and even transmission fluid, but we all know that these will get way hotter than 212*. That's what prompted my original question. I called Summit and the only other suggestion they had for a push lock style hose was the Russel, and it does not have a temperature rating.
