Default boat transportation is there a big need or money in it

I was thinking about putting a F30 dually to work. Been a truck driver my whole life and just slow at work, I always wanted to get an enclosed car hauler and haul cars but never did. I have just been hauling for friends. Curious as to how much people charge/pay for boat transportation and if it is worth doing it or not, as far as money and demand to keep me busy. Its just that time to start a business of some sort and this is something i wouldnt mind doing

Default hauling

last boat I had hauled ,on its own trailer $ 1.25 a loaded mile, just had an empty trailer brought to me, found a back haul from a camper deliverer . 70 cents a mile .if you want to live in your pick up and eat cheap road food. you could probably make some $ as long as its not a 6.0 ford

I think you'd be better off starting a hot-shot business. Get a decent enclosed trailer and find some local manufacturing firms that need very expedited service on occasion. A lot of logistics/materials groups with have one or two guys in their back pocket that can move something really fast. Parts, finished products, etc. A guy with a truck in town can often respond faster than Fedex/UPS/Other Carrier.

Being in the NORTHEAST there were an absolute TON of amazing valued/low hours/one owner/very clean boats we found in Iowa, Illinois/Kentucky but the cost to have anyone truck them up was ridiculous.

I think depending on choice of location for such a business you could do quite well
