Default marine a/c what refrigerant type

2001 marine a/c unit, what type of refrigerant type do they use? I dont believe its r-134. Does anyone know?

Thanks, no i need to track down a leak if there is one, and charge the system

The unit should have a sticker that tells you what type is uses, but generally R-22 is common for that vintage unit.

Only the identifier plate will tell you for sure...
