Default Power Steering Pump compatibility question

Will a MerCruiser power steering pump PN 16792A39 for a 454/502 MPI work in place of a PN 90507A12 for a 350/260 Small Block ?

This is one for the MerCruiser parts experts out there.

Thanks in advance.

BAM has 2 different part numbers... a big block part number and a small block part number.

My question is what is the difference in the 2 pumps. I am thinking that yours is the big block pump.

if there is any question change the pressure relief valve/spring, the big nut under where the high pressure line connects, just take that off, the valve and spring pop right out, swap them and you will have the same as before...you can do the same thing buying a std saginaw pump from a auto parts store...
