Default Mechanical indicator on the drive...

I have mechanicals on my new to me boat, and last weekend the starboard side got stuck. Drive still moves just fine, but the cylinder on the drive has gotten stuck and says its all the way the tucked. Any ideas how to release it or fix it?

Thanks!

More than likely the cable is pooched. There is no real seal on the cables so water gets in and corrodes it. Look for a bulge in the cable or any splits in the vinyl cover, that means the rust has built up in there. And if you need one, you probably ought to do them all.
