Default gimbal bearing, water ingestion?

So bought a rebuitl b1 was going to install & noticed water/rust & I'm guessing bearing will be toast soon. Will replace bearing and a set of u joint bellows.....anything else to check for? How/where would water get in there? By replacing the bellows should that be it?
Thanks

I would check shift cable boot for cracks, tears.

Do the bellows and the shift cable boot while it's apart and you should be good to go.
