Default Friction Setting for Kiekhaefer Controls??

Just re-did a set and installed them in my boat w/new Extreme cables. Problem is they work so well and have virtually no friction you have to hold them in place to keep a steady speed.
I don't remember seeing anything for that adjustment when I went through them.
These are older ones too if that makes a difference.
Going to run the boat tomorrow and that's my beer drinking hand.
Thanks guys.
Gary

there should be a ball bearing and spring to give a rachet like motion .

There should be a set screw on the throttles to adjust the tension. It has nothing to do with the cable attachments. You will most likely have to remove the controls so you can see the adjustment screws.

Thanks guys. Heading out to take a look as soon as the sun comes up. I had them completely apart when finishing the project and saw no detent ball mechanism's but set screws I could have (hopefully) easily missed.
Thanks again.

I lifted them out of their hole this morning but couldn't see anything to adjust. Looks like I'll have to totally remove them to see anything.
