Default Need a 28' +/- single motor V bottom Have cash

Have a good freind that lives in NJ looking for a 28 +/- a foot or two single engine deep V boat, Doesn't want a sit down boat or care about fancy cabins. Top speed is more important. Would prefer a Blue Merc motor or a reputal marine engine builder. Willl be using mostly in the Bay with some ocean time also. Owns a bar and just wants a turn key boat when he finds time to get away. Has cash and waiting to pull the trigger ASAP. What is out there? Thanks in advance.

Stand up boats in the 28 foot range: Saber, Pantera, Active Thunder, Fountain(kind of), Sunsation, Nordic.

The Saber, AT and Pantera are only going to run low 70's with a Merc 525 though. Not sure if thats fast enough. The Fountain and Sunsation will run 80. The 29 Fountain is actually a 26 foot boat. It will be hard to find a blue moter in a 288 Sunsation.

My 28 AT is for sale in the classifieds.

Did Saber make a single? We keep coming back to the Pantara. He likes the old school look. But will tell him about your AT. Fountain really isn't in the group we were looking at. Thanks

73 GPS is the best in ideal conditions. Runs 69-70 with fuel, 4 people, coolers, etc.

There is a single 525sc powered stryker 2800 Equilizer in Alabama. I looked at it, and drove it. Its a 96 model. Drop out bolsters. Fairly good shape couple of areas of dock rash. Solid. Guys wants 15k firm for it, no trailer. Search Birmingham, Alabama craigslist for stryker.

170 hours, purs like a kitten. High 60's low 70's per current owner. only concern for me was there was a little oil built up in the flame arestor and below the supercharger. May be time for a seal and bearing kit for the supercharger.
