Henry Yacht Club 13th Annual Poker Run

Hey All:

Sorry I am late here...I am posting this for our friends (MWBP Ain't Miss Behavin') at Henry Yacht Club on the Illinois River, MM196. The Boater & Biker Poker Run is on Saturday Aug 20th. The Run begins at Henry Yacht Club, with Lunch served at East Peoria Boat Club, with a cool DJ performing all afternoon, and the party continues (eventually) back to Henry Yacht Club.

Saturday, August 20, 2011

11:00 AM – First boat out

8:00 PM – Awards (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Worst Hand)

Cost: $25 each

Lunch buffet served at East Peoria Boat Club
Dinner buffet served at Henry Harbor Landings

Cash prize amounts will be based on number of participants.
** First place payout in past 3 years was $1,000 **

All players must be 18 years or older.

Last year they had well over 150 people attend this event and a sizable 1st place award. Boat size and style don't matter, as long as you can get downstream, then back upstream.

Attached is the info and PM me if you need .doc forms to fill out or contact # info.

See you on the river!!

Has anyone ever launched at the Henry Marina? Is it a good enough ramp for a 29' boat? I've been there a few times by water, but never paid attention to the ramp/parking.

There is a public ramp just south of the marina. I looks like a really nice ramp with lots of room.

I put in at the public ramp last year and it shoud be fine for a 29 fter. It is a little shallow depending on the water height, but still not a problem, as it drops off quickly. Just back out , keep your drive trimmed up and go straight out into the channel.
The ramp is located about a block south of the Henry Yacht Club, just north of the bridge.
