Ernesto TS was offshore Ocean City & 45 mph winds and raised the water level potomac & western bay approx 4'-0"

This is a slower moving storm with higher winds

Unless it goes WEST of the Bay like Isabel, there should be very little or no surge. If it goes east (as forecast), it make actually pull water out of the Bay.

^^^^^ Agreed, hope so.. It has tracked or is going to track in a little farther west then they had thought, but it is still days out, so anything can happen.. Earlier they had said if it stays on there track, it could come in the southern part of the bay

As a general rule: If you can pull it without much hassle your dumb not to!

Yes pull it just to be safe on high land is betting then in a lift, esp in big wind and tides.. I am right across on the millers island/ ft howard side..
