Doing some maintenance on the boat so I can take the kids out this weekend, changing impeller, somehow misplaced the "keyway" that locks the impeller onto the pump housing shaft.....I have looked on line and can not find a part number, replacement....any ideas? Thanks, Jeremy

Jeremy,shame on you and you should know that the bravo shaft on the pump is D shaped and so in the impeller..

BTW look at all the chit your x turned up on the east coaste..

Its just a key. Did you try an Ace Hardware or Home Depot type store. They should only be about a dollar or less.

That looks like an old style bravo pump if the key is a round pin try a hardware store for some round steel stock, if a d shaped key try a small engine shop

Thanks boys, as Fix pointed out, probably didn't have a key to begin with, having said that, interesting post picklenjim made about part number 11.....seems there is a "key" option for the Bravo pump...?

baja_brian, I don't think you would find the tapered keyways for any marine application at a hardware store........

#11 is the rubber cap that goes in the end of the inpeller...

No, thats the key. They came both ways.May be quicker to just get the impeller that doesn't use the key. Here's a better picture of it on an outboard. Part #24. They were used on several different applications.

My bad, I am refering to an engine mounted Bravo sea water pump, after talking to Fix and looking carefully at what I have I realize it does not have a "key" I assumed it did and that I had lost it while taking it apart....

Some of them had them also. All depends on the impeller your using.
