August Shootout/ Lake of the Ozarks
I am planning to enter the Shootout in August - Lake of the Ozarks - and would appreciate some info on the best place or two to stay? There will be two couples and one 22' daytona eliminator
. This will be our first time to Lake of the Ozarks and I would guess the Osage Beach area? Thanks

LOTO Lodging
Not an expert or local but I've stayed at a few places at LOTO. If you are going with another couple look into Lazy Days Condos. You can rent a two bedroom and split cost. Real nice place, clean, nice people and nice slips for boats. Tan-Tar-A is a good place to stay with kids as it has diversions to keep them busy while adults go to party cove.

Tan-Tar-A is going to be the host hotel for this years shoot-out and I think they are offering a special rate for participants. Other than that any condo complex down here usually is a pretty nice place to stay and will usuallly offer more room than any hotel room will. Compass Pointe, Lodge of Four Seasons, Lake Chateau, and the Inn at Grand Glaize are all close to Shooters. Good luck and see you in august.
