I have a 2003 daytona 26 with a 525 efi and a stock bravo xr. The top of the gimble measures 3 inches to the rubrail. I was wondering would a imco or shorty(wether it's a 1 or2 lower help with the topend

Where is your prop shaft compared to your outside sponsons. 1/2 above worked for a friends boat. I had a standoff on mine and 1" up worked best for me.

The prop is 1inch below the sponsons. Also what prop is the best to run with these power? It has a 28 pitch on it now and is bangin the rev limiter at 81 mph.

I run a 30 Merc labbed bravo 4 blade . WOT rpm of 5200 with 4 people. Takes a little longer to get on plane with more than 4 people in boat with this prop. This is with Merc ITS XR, with standard lenth sportmaster lower. 84-86 mph GPS.

NickBatt, rather than spend money on a shorty or prop, I would let ol Ludwig see what he can get out of it first!
