What is the fastest GPS/radar/time trapped confirmed small block boat 30 feet or over anyone knows of?
If it's N/A or forced induction please specifiy.
I seem to remember Reggie have a 90 mph fountain (35 feet) in one of his canopied race boats using 377's with blowers in one of the Power boat magazines.
Reason I'm asking is I'm curious as to how close I currently am and with the winter coming and my motors being pulled for a refreshening + some additional work, want to know if it's a title with in my grasp. My motors are just N/A if anyone is curious, and will most likely remain that way.

I think there is some boat called NASCAT or Sunny that Crockett built some Ex Nascar sb-2 engines for that was supposed to be 100+ mph FAST, Smitty
NASCAR SB2 Engines go MARINE...
Yep...see page 26 November Powerboat..Great story
Built by Tyler Crockett.
crockettmarineengines.com (didn't see the engines on web site yet)
434cu in
.325 Dart tall decks
ported/polished heads
hardened exhaust seats for unleaded fuel
diamond pistons
dry sump oil sys w/ 5 stage pump and ext tank
6200 connecting rods
Honda Rod journals(interesting
titanium intake valves
Inconel exhaust valves
CMI headers.
Went from carb to direct fuel port injection
used original SB2 intake but added 2000cfm tbi, fuel runners and injector for each port.
compression went from 12:1 to 9:4:1
now the cool stuff..
dyno 760HP @ 6800RPM 629ft lbs torque @ 5100RPM
going for relability...the engine originally was built for 10,000RPM...now it turns 7000RPM " Its not even working"
pushed a 32 Sunsation from 68 w 325hp small blocks to 100+ w Bravo X with shorty's....original was standard bravo's..
Price 35K unitl the parts start running out...They have many of these engines for now as NASCAR is using the RO7 engines..
"the engine looks like they pulled it right from the car"
Impressive numbers for sure...
