Default trim question

I have a '97 checkmate zt240 with a bravo one drive. It's my second season and my first boat. My trim gauge normally reads between the down mark and goes up to about 3/8 up. This year the gauge is going to a little past the center mark. Is this something in the sensor on the drive?

Can you be a little more specific on what your trim indicator looks like?

There is an adjustment on the rh side of the drive. It is a plastic round housing held on my two phillips head screws. It is on the hinge pin that the drive pivots up an down on. Just loosen the screws untill the locks clear and the housing is loose. Bacially you rotate the trim sender CW to lower the needle position on the guage and CCW to raise the needle. I would doubt the gauge has changed. There is a slight posibility of corroded wires too but not likely.
