Default 525 Valve Cover

The port side valve cover on my 525 is "bubbling" just a little bit and ready to start chipping. What are my options?

A) Replace with new or used. What do they run? Does anyone even sell just one?

B) Re-Finish. I'm assuming they are powdercoated. Who does this sort of work and what should I expect to pay?

1 8M0050913 COVER ASSEMBLY, Rocker Valve -$345.31

I'd pull it and re paint, or buy a new set of aftermarket valve covers.

That price is for ONE blue cover. No sticker, grommets, caps, ect.... What a rip off!

Wow! $383 for cover and $95 for the gasket??

...When life hands you a cosmetically challenged valve cover you say "F#$K it! I like cosmetically challenged valve covers. What else you got?"

Alright. Anyone ever get a cover repainted? Who does it and what should I expect cost wise?

Thanks.

Isn't that gasket the same as any gen V BBC from GM? The valve cover itself sure looks the same!

Rattle can? Definately come back and tell us how it worked out for you.

So nobody has had them professionally re-painted?
