Buddy of mine added one to his '97. Just went to the local dealer, ordered it and installed it himself. Wait...that was in 2005. Cost around $1700 back then if I remember correctly.

XT may at least know who build it for Baja back in the day. Perhaps they still have the mold IF they're still in business. Good luck!

I've seen them with both a fiberglass and a tubular aluminum extended platform. Which type are you interested in?

I've seen one. I assumed the owner had it made as all the others I've seen were fiberglass. It actually looked better than the fiberglass ones.

it seems that maybe they were a factory option on the newer 302s from 2002/03 and up?

I had a good friend that had a 96' Baja 302 that wanted the extended fiberglass platform, so I asked the glass manager if the mold was still around to make one. (this was around 2006) He told me then that the tooling was scraped by management, but he said he had one for a parts order that the dealer never took. I think I purchased the very last one made for my buddy. I should have made a mold from it back then.

We never had a vendor design a Aluminum platform for Baja Marine, but I would love to see a photo of one!

Do do have access to the Baja 192 Islander extended swim tooling if anyone needs one of those?

Who was the prankster at Baja that came up with the design of the 302's built-in "swim platform"?
