Default Anyone Dredge Their Dock Area

I'm going to have to Dredge some areas of my ski lake. I have looked at several mini dredges but it would seem to be silly to buy such an expensive piece of equipment to set around. I'm thinking there's got to be some people who have done this on the board. Might be a good business, could do golf course lakes, etc.. Anyone with ideas or experience with this. Thanks

There are environmental issues to consider, believe it or not the dredgings are considered hazerdous waste and have to be handled in a certain way. I would do some homework into regulations in your area before digging in, this kinda stuff can get ya in trouble if your not careful.

Not that I have seen it done or anything but I hear a boat hooked up with a small outboard can move a lot of material.

Some good ol boys I knew back in NC once told me about dragging an old bedspring around during a falling tide to facilitate this type of operation.
