This is likely a copy of a Magnum 27 . . There are several of these available, do some searching. I have heard that the Aero's have been known to have issues . . . I have no experience with them.

Thanks for the info. I did search the site and found some of the info about these. That is the boat in CT.
I thought if I found one and rigged it myself, it could be a neat boat. The one in CT is alittle high with all of the unknowns and as you might guess, the real Magnums seem to be commanding prices that I'm not will to pay for a 27' boat that is over 30 years old.

Bought a Jem from Jim in 1973. Told me He had just built the 454 to about 450HP. After a few hours, (about 4) the valves started sounding bad and it never ran like 450HP. Took it to a Mercury facility and when they ran the engine numbers, they found the motor was pulled from a totaled 1981Impala, and had never been rebuilt, completely stock automotive version. When I aproached Jim, he denided any knowledge of the facts and while i was there, an older gentleman came in and stated Jim had sold his son a piece of S*it and wanted him to step outside. Jim wouldn't and the guy pulled a gun. Jim was out the back door and GONE! Never got any compensation from Jim, but had the engine rebuilt and enjoyed it for a few years. IF IT"S A KLYM JEM--BEWARE!!! A sucker back then!
