Here's an odd question for a fix.

I have the 110S Kplane. It has electronic senders - it's basically a thin rod with very fine wire wrapped the entire length. A scraper slides along the rod/wire and indicates to Gaffrig trim gauges the tab position.

One of the rods has the wire broken 3/4's way through, so I need to do the one-one thousand, two-one thousand to adjust. I checked with mercruiserparts.com and they say I cannot buy the sender alone, just the $400 assembly. My question is; do any of you guys know where I can get this sender repaired? Probably re-wrap the wire along the rod. I'd assume an electronics store that has some skills, not a part-swapper.

Any info would be great.

I have the same k-planes and my gauges aren't working. I think it is the sender. Did you find a place to get it fixed or replaced?
