Default funny thanksgiving story boating related

Went to girlfriends families thanksgiving dinner. Now they know I have a boat but don't know what kind or the fact that I have been around boats my whole life and have followed racing since I was a kid. Met a cousin I haven't met before. Started telling us about her boyfriend and how he used to race offshore boats untill he had an accident and gave it up. Even showed my g/f and I a YouTube video of the race/accident. I know the boat and have seen the video many times (its a well known one). He was NOT in the boat and there is no history of him in offshore racing. Google shows he is/was a marine mechanic at one time. I kept quiet as its not my business but now I can't wait to meet him so I can ask him all about his offshore racing career. LOLOLOL

We were always a band going to California to record. Girls would be pissed when we were in the same bar a month later.

I love coming up with stories to tell chicks at the bar. I'm actually currently unemployed and back in school but i was a securities trader for a couple of years. To be honest, i found that financial occupations are a conversation killer because most girls at the bar don't really know anything about finance. It has been more beneficiary to just make things up because they either believe you or they don't but it always makes for good conversation. While financial roles may be associated with $$, conversation will get you a lot further.

ahhhh yes . . . . the 'ol "I'm a big time boat racer" line o' bs . . . . yea . . . i used that once or twice myself

I was at one of our river bars once with a group of boats and i was chatting up this girl on a balcony over looking the bars docks. She goes on to tell me she was with the group of hot boaters and i asked her what boat she came in on . . . . . she pointed to mine lol. Didnt go much further then that.
