Default Is anyone using allstate for boat insurance

So I got a non renewal letter from State Farm saying that they are not going to renew my policy at the end of the year due to my amount of claims on my marine policy. 2 claims in 7 years. 1 theft and 1 damage from hitting something in the water. I have been checking around and I am amazed how cheap state farm was compared to everyone else I have called. Allstate is the least expensive so far. Who is everyone using for a boat insurance? The boat is 23 years old.

I got screwed bad on a claim with Progressive when my boat got rear ended in tow. I am now insured with AllState. Haven't had to make a claim but the rates are low.

I was also dropped by State Farm yrs ago. I now use Allstate. I have not filed anything with them but do have all my vehicles with them. Make sure if you do use them the Premium box is checked. My agent also let's drop it down when the boat is not in use.

I've been with Allstate for 25+ yrs and always satisfied with any claim negotiations.

Few minor home claims, couple sled wrecks 1 totalled, 1 boat claim on an old cruiser hit something and tore the shaft/rudder off, several comp claims on auto's.

Last policy on a new 42 Fountain was $900/yr. WI

Allstate is quoting me about 900 a year with an agreed value for the boat and trailer. state farm was 560 a year. Progressive and Markel were almost 1500 a year.

I also am insured with Allstate here in California... Extremely good rates and great service thus far only 1 claim on the interior on my last boat. They sent out a Marine surveyor, sent me for an estimate and sent a check out.. Absolutely Painless...

Allstate was lowest I found, and one of the few who even wanted to insure me (first time performance boat owner, 500 hp and 28 at the time).

It might help to have them quote all of your home/car combined to see if it helps.

Default Have had good expirences

I've had allstate for two years now. 21 Baja sport/454. Agreed upon top speed is 68. I think over 70 was higher. Full coverage on the ocean in Maine was $600, back in freshwater I think it's down to $480.

I was 22 when the policy started, no accident history.

Then had them for an auto accident where i was t-boned and they were great to work with.

Have my truck, boat, and two bikes with them. They're even cheaper than USAA, who are very vet friendly
