Default 353 Formula Fastech

I'm at the new York boat show, and there's a 2012 353 formula fastech here with twin 525s for $270,000. How good of a price is that? How much do you think I could get him down?

That's about 10% more than the 2009 I priced. Same motors. Lots of extras.

How bout with 8.2s for 169? Think they'll take 100?

MSRP on that boat with 525's (no boxes), base paint and NO options is $401,570. I'm thinking that $270,000 represents a hefty discount on a boat that's likely to be heavily optioned for a boat show. Try $250k and see what they say. Are you dealing with Mike Ranguso?

OMG!!! Dude, you can get a WHOLE lot of boat for even 200K. It might not be brand new, but search the classifieds before spending that kind of jack on a 353 Formula.

Could be a 353 Fastech Sport, with engine upgrades at show special price.

For 200K you can get a new 29' OL..

Even with a $400k MSRP, understanding the troubles of Forumla and its dealer base, and that most likely Formula owns the boats in the NYC Show, that boat could sell around $225k. If there is a local dealer and the boat is owned by the dealer then I'd say they will want a little more.

Ask them to put it in the water and start it, then offer 170 because thats what its going to be worth after the first time you put it in the water and start it.

At least Formula's "troubles" are far less than those of, say - Fountain, Baja, Donzi, Powerplay, Powerquest and a few others!
