I have two sets of Teague switchable mufflers. I need to install a relay for the solenoids. Can anyone make a suggestion as to what to use? Would one be enough for all four mufflers or should I use one per set?

No one has any input? I guess I'll have to call Teague!

I would get the soleniod from Teague. Pricey! Last one I bought was over 4 years ago and it was like $60
It is basically a marinized Ford starter soleniod. But more heavy duty!
I have 2 pairs on my boat and one went out. Tried one from Napa and it only lasted a couple trips out.
Bought the correct one from Teague and it has been there for a few years.

Has the water patrol ever bugged you about switchables? They've stopped us a few times, and kept trying to search for where our switchables were (we have full time mufflers, not switchables).

From what I can see in the pictures on the teague site, it looks like a trim pump solenoid. The solenoids on the actual mufflers are working fine.

I was gonna recommend a merc trim pump solenoid, i think they are like 25 bucks from merc?

1 solenoid will operate 4 tip's as per the teague wiring diagram . If you do not buy the proper one they will over heat and burnout .

bought one from Teague runs all 4,, use heavy ga. wire good solder fittings and it will last. I've had for 4 years.

Yes they have!
I would say 95% of the time i leave them closed.
I still have the y-pipe in mine from the original diverters.
I just removed the internals and welded the holes.
I still get the flow out the transom with some diverted down the pipes. I feel this really helps keep the main bark off the noise but still allows some pressure relief
Typically they do not bother me all that much, but then agian I really have not had much time in the boat in the last several years.
