Unhappy Sea trial on Saturday results....

Motor runs well. Jumps on plane. Oil temp is an issue though.
It seems my oil may be flowing past the bypass valve in the filter adapter. Saw 260 degrees in a short cruise never exceeding 3800-4000 rpm or so.

Gonna work on it tomorrow. I need a day off from tinkering with the damn thing.

Mike, glad to here everything is getting on the right track. I'm sure you'll get the oil temp figured out and have a 100 hrs on the boat by the end of the season.

Sounds like everything is going good mike.. That bypass in the adapter is what i just fixed on the powerplay.. It was going through the bypass instead of the filter, cooler, oil stat. Talked to a few people and then called tyler crockett, he said to remove the valve and tap the hole to put a pipe plug in it. Instead I just welded up the bypass hole, then you have to run a high burst oil filter, in which I am running the Fram HP4 (small block chevy) The thing that told us that it was going through the bypass was it had more oil pressure at idle then it did at cruise and WOT and the oil was hot.. After fixing the problem my oil pressure is great but my oil is still 230 at cruise.... 270 at WOT .. I have to buy a bigger oil cooler when I get the cash.

don't worry man.. i have a been FOULized again this weekend.. this weeks parts for the boat, new coil, carb fuel filters, PCV system... plus i have oil all over the bilge and no traces of where its coming from LOL! but its all worth it after I spanked that guy in his BBC jet boat

Yeah and where has Crazyhorse been???..

Any questions mike let me know..

[email protected]

Good luck

Travis

hmm dyno... your milk problem ... don't really know it could be anything i guess... hell my motor has clean oil, but in my valve covers I have white sludge and water LOL! any my oil is getting way hotter so it does boil the condensation out.. its a wild goose chase... my could be reversion too.... hell i don't really worry as long as the oil is nice its stays in the boat!

chat with ya later about this gotta run don..
