Default Attention Copeland's Phenomenon

Does anyone know if they will try to set the speed record this year? Possibly at the Kilo runs in Biloxi?

Haven't heard much about "Phenomenon" for some time now. I hope that Al Copeland Jr. continues to make every effort to fulfill his fathers dream to break the "Propelled Speedboat World Record" of 227 MPH. Al Copeland Sr. was a legend and I wish that I would of met him but have always read alot about him, his parties and Offshore Powerboating. Phenomenon is one of the sharpest, wildest looking boat ever built on this planet and I think that the day will come (sooner then later) when Al Copeland Jr. will break this record in his fathers name, Al Copeland Sr.

How exactly does the "propelled" speedboat work record work? Surely there are a ton of drag boats that best this mph and surely they use propellers.

What sets this record apart from the drag boats?

been in this argument more then once the propeller boat world record set by a topfuel hydro is 261 and some change ,bottom line that IS the fastest propeller driven boat .
