Here's the latest update for Saginaw Bay Poker Run:

All events based out of Linwood Beach Marina and Campground, to include:

Prizes to the top 3 poker hands:
$2500 for 1st, $1500 for 2nd, $750 for 3rd place.

Dog Roast,
*Pub Crawl in Linwood, Friday night,
*Captain and Crew Shirts
*Aerobatic Air show over the Marina
*Event Lunch @ Saginaw Bay Yacht Club
*Party Barge with DJ, Saturday, 1p to 4p
*Event Dinner Saturday night
*Party with live band Saturday night @ LBMC

The Course leaves LBMC mid-morning Saturday, then goes North to Wigwam Bay, offshore of the Sagining Casino, then onto AuGres State Docks, then back South to Bouys #1 and 2
in the Shipping Channel, then into the Saginaw River to Lunch at SBYC, then back out to the Castaways Restaurant in the Kawkawlin River, and finishes up back at LBMC. apprx. 68 mi.

LBMC will provide 24 hour secure storage for your boat and trailer overnight, a spray-off station. 90 octane Ethanol-free
fuel and a full-service campground is on premises. A list of hotels is available as well.

All proceeds go to the "Catch a Dream" charity, sponsored by the Michigan Conservation Officers Association. They enable terminally ill and disabled kids to go fishing!

Entry Fees are $250.00 per boat, which includes captain plus one crew. Each additional crew member is $50.00.

We are limiting this event to 100 boats, and you can download the registration pages @:

Fees are low, and we are asking you print the registration material and mail in a check to LBMC, to avoid high CC fees.

First weekend of boating for us... water was a little deeper than last year, and so far, super clear to past years' visibility!
Marking 7 to 8 feet in the freshly dredged Marina channel, and 10 to 11 in the Kawkawlin River. nice.

You may want to let everyone know what month we're talking about here...I assume July. Sounds like a great event but if its July I'll be at the St Clair races.

The Saginaw Bay Poker Run IS Saturday, JULY 28, 2012.

Last party I went to at Linwood Beach Marina was amazing. Live band and 1000 people having a great time. I'm registering today!

BTW, I was at the Saginaw Bay Yacht Club last nite (one of the stops) and Sara said she is wearing a HOT mermaid outfit for the poker run. Great photo opportunity....
