I have run scorpions for the last 10yrs. You will not see any performance gains just adding roller rockers. Save your money. The new scorpion HD marine version is what I believe Mercury Marine is using on their new builds.

Thanks, I really should wait till the end of the season and do a bigger cam and rockers at the same time. Its getting too close to summer to pull my engine and do the cam right now. Thought I might gain a little by doing the rockers right now. I have the itch to tinker with my boat. It never seems to go away.

the biggest gain w/rollerrockers is not h/p gain but the lack of friction.w/rollerrockers there is less friction.less friction, less heat.less heat=happer motor and lower oil temps.

I believe you are right, you have to buy the adapter kit 3/8 to 7/16

when you do take the engines out, have the 3/8 holes drilled&taped to 7/16 threads, then you can use rocker studs for mark 4 heads, much stronger imo.

Thanks for all the advice gentleman, Right now i am finishing up some custom pipes to route my 496 manifolds and risers to my 454 mag. thru transom tips . Hope to have it on the water by this saturday. Turns out the 496 manifolds and risers are 1 3/4" taller than the cast iron 454 manifolds and risers. Fabricated an "S" pipe from aluminum to allow them to mate up properly.
