Default Boating with the Skater, SW Florida

Memorial Day weekend boating, in the Skater here in SW Florida.

It was a warm 91 degrees, bright and sunny, with a small wind. The Gulf water temp is at 85 deg.

We went a total of 52.9 miles, burned 22.9 gal of 93 octane for an average of 2.3mpg.

looks good frank. How's the boat running? Did you figure out what was wrong?

Looks like less chaos in Fl for the holiday wknd. Man I can't tell ya how insane the launch ramp was here!

I think so. On the Sarasota run the PORT engine burped and went into, shutdown mode.
On the next run, Useppa usland, the PORT engine burped and quit.

I did not find anything definitively wrong, then, I found the insulation mat, under the
cowl, directly above the engine, was very loose, and was missing pieces, directly above
the air horn. I can only assume it had been breaking off, and was going through the
engine. All seems good now.

SW Florida has it's share of chaos. I avoid those spots.
