Default Did baja offer a 365 hp 7.4 mpi in the 2000 H2X?

Just purchased this 2000 H2X and the previous owner is certain it is 365 hp? How fast should this boat be? I took it out once and it would not rpm over 4000 and would only do about 50 mph when trimmed up. Any ideas? Going to get it checked out before I run it again boat has 400 hours and a mirage plus 23 pitch prop

The regular 454 is 330 horse, the mag is 385. Either way you should be seeing more speed and rpm with that prop.

Thanks, boat is at marina for diagnosis. Hoping there is no serious motor problems as I just purchased the boat as is. I spoke with the mechanic who did the dewinterization and he assured me the boat was in good working order what kind of speed should I expect out of that setup?

That's too much prop for that engine.

X2

I run Mirage ''plus'' 23p on mine and i hit the rev limiter at 5050 rpm. With 385hp. On a 330hp carb or a 310hp 7.4 mpi , i will try a mirage plus 23p or a Bravo1 22p.

I have a 2000 Baja H2X with a 7.4L MPI 320hp. It came with a 3 blade 23P Mirage Plus from the factory. It would run 60-63 mph on my gps. I installed a IMCO 2" shorty drive and went to a 4 blade 24P Bravo 1. I was able to hit 66 mph GPS.
