Question Wix Racing Oil Filter Diff? *57003R vs 51222R*

I have always ran the 51222R on my Hustler motors with no problems,But I saw were they make a 57003# and they claim that the cfm on it is 410cfm and the 51222R is 73 cfm.The tech idiot did not have spec's on micron rating. They show a diff in the paper element on them. The Wix tech said the 57003R is made for paved tracks,The 51222R is made for dirt tracks,He said on the dirt tracks the oil gets all that dirt in it from no air filter

The 57003R T 10 says "Advanced Performance media (T-10) is designed to provide a high positive oil flow with low restriction"

The 5122R T-71 says "High Efficiency Endurance Oil Filters use a media (T-71) rated at a Fraizer air flow of approximately 75 CFM. This media contains a higher resin content than our Advanced Performance Filters to trap and hold smaller contaminant's and provide higher efficiency.

What ya think?

Great info. I have been looking for a replacement filter (Fram HP6) style with the large 1 1/2 - 12 thread and with no bypass valve. I do wonder what the flow rate is on this filter. Thanks for sharing the info.

Thanks for the link Strip! Those are excellent prices.

For a filter tool I use one of the cheap summit filter cutters. It works great. These wix filters have a much thicker metal shell than conventional automotive filters. The summit tool cuts through them with no issue. It's kind of like a large pipe cutter.
