Default Kingston to Boldt Castle, how far?

My stepson is getting married this Sat Jun 30 in Kingston and if things go to plan were bringing the boat and want to make a run down and see the Castle Sunday maybe stay till Monday, supposed to beautiful weather. Anyone know how long of a run it is at a 35 - 40mph cruise. Been 10 yrs since Ive been down there, cant remember how long it took. Probably take the back channel to Gananoque then across. thanks

Its about 25-30 mins East of my cottage on Wolfe Island, so, add another 10 mins or so I would assume, I have never gone there from Kingston, but, have gone from the Wolfe Island [South Shore]

You can take the "cut" at the end of Wolfe Island and run straight down the US side to the castle, weather is supposed to be really nice, enjoy the wedding and the trip!

Depends on your idea of "pretty", $3 a gallon for gas is pretty "attractive" [-:

I couldnt care less about the price of gas, the boat will be full when we splash in Kingston. Ive only ever gone through the back channel to Gan i just wondered if the US side was more scenic. Where in Osh are you?

Well, its your money [-:

I like the US side, there are less windmills and more things to see, just my opinion, I am right on the US side, so, maybe its just easier for me.

Harmony and Adelaide area in Oshawa

The amount of time it takes will depend "where" in Kingston you splash the boat, but, from the Yacht basin at Confederation Park to the Wolfe Island cut is about 15 mins.

We'll be putting in at Kingston Marina.

Im actually in Whitby....grew up at Townline and Hwy 2 though. Do you remember a 29 Fountain in the driveway right on Rossland just east of Mary? guess who.

Small world! I am off Adelaide, not far from town line/hwy 2!
When I was younger there was nothing there except McDonalds, now it's full of strip malls!

I grew up on Fernwood, right off Ritson near Hillcroft, so, I used to see your boat all the time! I believe you had a smaller boat that wasn't a Fountain before you got the Fountain. We are going back a few years, so I could be wrong?

I just thought? If you take the US side you won't have to mess around through that narrow channel by Gan. Also, you might get to see a ship or two.

Great chatting with ya!
If your down to Kingston Area again I am right in Murray Bay, directly across from Millens bay, pretty much due North of the Eastern tip of Carlton Island, there is a big red Channel marker at the mouth of the bay.

Default If you go Kingston...

...to Clayton to A-Bay you are 26.5 miles +/-

Both sides are attractive for different reasons. Maybe go to A-Bay from the US side and back via the Canadian.

Another interesting sight(s) would be to go east of Wellesley, enter the Lake of the Isle, head west and go through the north passage to the Canadian channel and head west for your return trip.

Figure to add another 10 miles for the zig-zagging through all the little islands, to see all the interesting little camps and running along the cliffs to see all the summer cottages the size of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave (only a slight exaggeration).
