My boat has a check valve in the hose barb. My question is does anyone take them out I was going to run braided line with an fittings and don't know how to keep that valve and do what I want. I hate hose clamps on hoses. I have also heard when those go bad they can starve a motor of fuel so curious if any of you install them or take it out

I took mine out and ran braided lines with AN fittings. Its not coast guard approved to take them out so your taking a gamble if you get a safety inspection. Also if the boat catches fire they are designed to stop the fuel flow from the tank.

I have reworked mine the same way you have Matt. No problems just not legal. The corsa is still working well thanks. I have to go to Wv in the morning to get my boat out of what was left of the building I rent. No big damage thankful for that. Have a nice forth Matt.

If you remove the anti siphon valves there is an acceptable option to meet the requirements. You can replace them with on/off or ball type valves, fuel rated of course. They must be installed in the fuel pick up and accessible through a deck plate, hatch or ect.
